Reports from Iran's central Isfahan province indicate three explosions were heard, as relayed by the semi-official Fars news agency on Friday. The precise cause of these explosions remains undetermined, according to sources cited by Fars.
The blasts were reportedly audible in Qahjavarestan city, situated close to Isfahan's International Airport and an Iranian army air force base, as detailed by the Xinhua news agency.
In response to these incidents, Iran's official IRNA news agency, referencing the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, announced the suspension of all flights at airports across several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz, citing security concerns.
Furthermore, IRNA reported the activation of Iran's air defense system over multiple cities on Friday in response to the situation.
