On Friday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar embarked on a significant visit to Nepal, commencing his engagements with a visit to the renowned Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred site dedicated to Lord Shiva. His presence at this revered temple underscored his prayers for the well-being of both nations and the enduring bonds between India and Nepal.
Having arrived in Nepal the day prior, Jaishankar's initial stop at the Pashupatinath Temple, early in the morning, set the tone for his engagements during his second day in the country. Sharing his experience, Jaishankar expressed gratitude, stating, "Blessed to visit the Pashupatinath Temple today morning. Prayed for the well-being of our two peoples and India-Nepal ties."

Nestled along the banks of the sacred River Bagmati on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu, the Pashupatinath Temple stands as a revered sanctuary for Hindus globally and serves as a prominent destination for pilgrims and tourists alike.
This centuries-old temple venerates Lord Shiva in his manifestation as Pashupati, the guardian and protector of animals, drawing hundreds of thousands of devout Hindu pilgrims from around the world to seek blessings and solace within its sacred confines.
