After a four-day delay, an aircraft central to a human trafficking inquiry took off from a French airport on Monday, bound for India, according to reports.

"We express gratitude to the French government and Vatry Airport for swiftly resolving the situation, allowing Indian passengers to return home and for their hospitality. We also extend our thanks to agencies in India," stated the Indian Embassy, using the handle name India in France, on X.

On December 21, a plane headed for Nicaragua carrying 303 Indian passengers was grounded in France over suspected human trafficking. The Indian Embassy in France stated that their embassy team secured consular access and was investigating the matter.

This statement followed reports indicating the detention of a Dubai-bound plane headed to Nicaragua at a French airport.

In a social media post on X, the Indian Embassy in France shared, "French authorities alerted us to a plane with 303 people, mostly of Indian origin, traveling from Dubai to Nicaragua, detained during a technical halt at a French airport."

"Our embassy team has arrived, secured consular access, and is actively investigating the situation while ensuring the well-being of the passengers," assured the Indian Embassy.
