While acknowledging the significance of her role, she hinted at having more to communicate in the future, promising additional statements in due course.

In the wake of her removal as British Home Secretary, Suella Braverman broke her silence, expressing that serving in the top position had been her "greatest privilege."

While acknowledging the significance of her role, she hinted at having more to communicate in the future, promising additional statements in due course. Braverman's departure from the position has marked the end of a chapter, and her brief statement suggests that she plans to elaborate on her experience and perspective at a later time.

The Indian-origin minister faced dismissal from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday, primarily due to her outspoken criticism of the police's handling of pro-Palestinian rallies in the country.

She asserted that officers "play favourites" in their approach to policing such protests, leading to her removal from her ministerial position.

The decision by Prime Minister Sunak reflects the government's response to her public comments and underscores the significance of maintaining a unified stance on matters of public order and law enforcement.

"It has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve as home secretary. I will have more to say in due course," Braverman said.

In a significant shakeup announced by Downing Street, Suella Braverman has been removed from her position and will be succeeded by former Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. Braverman, known for her staunch conservative stance, has been a magnet for controversy. She faced criticism from both colleagues and opposition members for her contentious remarks on issues such as migration, protesters, homelessness, and the police.

Among her controversial statements, Braverman referred to pro-Palestinian protesters as "hate marchers" with alleged links to terrorist groups. She also sparked outrage by suggesting that individuals sleeping on the streets do so as a "lifestyle choice." In another instance, she claimed that all British-Pakistanis are part of grooming gangs that victimize vulnerable English girls.

During her tenure in Liz Truss' government last year, Braverman expressed her "dream" of seeing a plane of asylum seekers departing for Rwanda before Christmas. The recent Pro-Palestine march in London on November 11, following the Israel-Hamas conflict, led to clashes between far-right counter-protesters and the police. The opposition Labour party attributed these clashes to Braverman's comments.

“Every day she remains in office it further undermines the prime minister’s authority,” an MP told The Guardian after her recent provocative remarks.
