The CEIP is a renowned think tank that's nonpartisan, working on international affairs, across regions- Europe, South Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, and the US. EAM S Jaishankar will be in conversation with CEIP President Mariano Florentino Cuellar on the strategic emerging partnership between the US and India.

The think tank pointed out how crucial Indian relations are to global strategy, especially in defining US policy. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US in 2023 and his latest bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden, CEIP highlighted that interactions such as these indicate the rising importance of US-India relations. Last September 30, the US President invited Prime Minister Modi over to his residence in Greenville, Delaware, for discussions on a number of issues at the regional and global levels.

PM Modi described the talks as "extremely fruitful" in a social media post. President Biden "praised PM Modi's talent in discovering new areas of cooperation at every meeting," and CEIP said in its announcement of the session: "In rapidly changing global developments, India's bilateral relations with the United States have deepened.".

As part of a deeper partnership in the Indo-Pacific and in defense innovation and critical and emerging technologies, the event will address pressing questions about India's role in global leadership and how the two nations can cooperate in such areas as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, democracy, security, and trade.
