China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi will travel to India from Monday through Wednesday, China's foreign ministry announced in a statement on Saturday. The visit will center on talks of the contested Himalayan border.
This is only the second high-level meeting since the 2020 fatal clash between Chinese and Indian troops.
Ties between the two Asian giants have been warming up after a deal in October to patrol the Himalayan border, easing a five-year standoff that had harmed trade, investment and air travel.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also set to see Chinese President Xi Jinping later this month when he travels to China for the first time in seven years to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, an important regional security forum.
