Biden Criticizes Trump Over Economy Remarks: Voters Tired of Being Taken as Suckers

Addressing the South Carolina Democratic Party's 'First In the Nation Dinner,' Biden credited his victory in 2020 to the voters, asserting that they played a pivotal role in ousting Trump. He referred to Trump as a "loser" and led supporters in a chant of "a promise made, and a promise kept."

US President Joe Biden took a swipe at his predecessor, Donald Trump, rebuffing the claim that the economy had suffered under Democratic leadership. Biden, speaking at the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Supreme Court, asserted that voters were weary of being misled and cited factual evidence indicating economic growth. He emphasized that the GDP figures for 2023 revealed a 2.5% growth, surpassing any six-month period during Trump's entire four-year tenure.

As the Democrats approach the 2024 election cycle, Biden highlighted his administration's achievements, including historic funding for HBCUs, record-low black unemployment, and a 60% increase in black wealth. Despite facing criticism about his cognitive functions, Biden launched a vigorous attack on Trump's mental fitness, referencing a recent campaign trail blunder and poking fun at Trump's confusion between Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi.

The President condemned Trump's comments about World War II veterans and dubbed him "Donald 'Herbert Hoover' Trump," pointing out the historical job losses during Trump's presidency. In the face of protesters calling for a Gaza ceasefire, chants of "four more years" drowned out the disruptions. Biden concluded his speech by urging supporters to stand with the truth and defeat lies, emphasizing the need to safeguard America's democracy.
