In the village of Khiam, two civilians were recovered dead from the rubble of a house destroyed by Israel on Tuesday. Additionally, the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group, based in Lebanon, claimed Israeli casualties after its fighters attacked Israel's military positions in several villages and a settlement.

Tensions in the region have been on the rise for over six weeks since Hezbollah fired rockets toward Shebaa Farms on October 8 in support of Hamas attacks on Israel. In response, Israeli forces fired heavy artillery at various areas in southeastern Lebanon, contributing to the heightened conflict along the border.
