Vedanta enhances Covid relief measures for employees

"Considering the fatalities caused by Covid-19 and the recent black fungus epidemic, the company is providing benefits to the family members of the deceased employees in the form of continued payments of last drawn fixed salary till their notional date of retirement," the company said.
NCLT okays Vedanta Group firm's bid for Videocon Industries

The Committee of Creditors of Videocon had approved the plan last year with 95.09 per cent votes. The plan was then filed with the NCLT for its approval on December 15, 2020. "NCLT has pronounced the order on June 8, 2021, approving the resolution plan for the consolidated corporate debtors, including the company, under Section 31 of the Code (Approval Order)," Videocon Industries said in a regulatory filing.
Vedanta calls for EoI to transport 800 tpd O2 from Sterlite unit

According to a company official, the oxygen plant again became operational on Sunday. Vedanta said its oxygen unit at Sterlite Copper has a total installed capacity of 1,050 tpd and the existing infrastructure has the potential to transport 200-250 tpd medical oxygen to various hospitals.
Vedanta to set up 2 Covid hospitals in Karnataka soon

"The field hospitals in both towns will be equipped with critical care facilities, including 20-bed intensive care units (ICUs) and 180 oxygenated beds," said the Mumbai-based company in a statement here. The Vedanta hospitals will support the state government's efforts to contain the virus spread by working with the local communities, it said.
