Ukraine seeks to join EU within year after start of membership talks

"Our goal is to start EU membership negotiations in 2023. I think it will take about a year for Ukraine to become a full member," Kuleba was quoted as saying by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Xinhua news agency reported. Ukraine is performing the tasks put forward by the EU for the membership "much faster than anyone expected", the minister stressed.
Poland to be top recipient of EU arms fund: PM

"We'll soon receive compensation of about 300 million euros ($323 million) and Poland will be the biggest recipient of the EU's weapons fund," Xinhua news agency quoted the Prime Minister as saying on Monday. Poland has given Ukraine a significant number of its Soviet-era T-72 tanks as well as Krab self-propelled howitzers and ammunition.
Ukraine gets first batch of Leopard 2 tanks from Germany

The German-made tanks were handed over to Ukraine two months after Berlin's decision to supply them, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Monday, citing German news outlet Der Spiegel. It did not specify the number of tanks that were transferred to Ukraine. In January, Germany decided to supply its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and green-lighted requests by other countries to do so, Xinhua news agency reported.

The defence ministers discussed a plan by Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
