Indian industry welcomes India-UAE trade pact

The agreement to boost bilateral trade is expected to be implemented within 60 days and entails enhanced market access and reduced tariff. It is expected that the CEPA will lead to an increase in bilateral trade from the current $60 to $100 billion in the next five years. The India-UAE CEPA is the first bilateral trade accord concluded by the UAE, and is also India's first bilateral trade agreement in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The agreement to boost bilateral trade is expected to be implemented within 60-days.The agreement entails enhanced market access and reduced tariffs.It is expected that the CEPA will lead to an increase in bilateral trade from the current $60 billion to $100 billion in the next 5 years. At a press briefing post signing the deal, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that India-UAE CEPA was negotiated in one of the quickest time frame of 88 days.
UAE firm to invest $100 million in J&K, MoU inked

An MoU was signed in a special event presided by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The investment will cover three hotels and one commercial-cum-residential complex in Jammu & Kashmir. The owner of Century Financial Bal Krishen is originally a native of the Doda district of Jammu and has been a forerunner in supporting his home region.
India, UAE to wrap up CEPA by next month: Goyal

Addressing the India Global Forum UAE-2021 through video conference, he said: "Hopefully by the end of this month or next month, we hope to conclude them (the negotiations) so that this would probably be one of the fastest trade agreement between two countries ever made." Besides, he said the agreement will be a mutually beneficial win-win solution for both countries.
India, UAE aim to ensure speedy normalisation of air services

"Given the importance of air transport in facilitating bilateral ties and people-to-people connections, both sides agreed that their respective civil aviation authorities should continue to work together on a priority basis, for their mutual benefit, to ensure the speedy normalisation of air transport operations between the two countries," the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said .
Israel-UAE trade reach $523.2 mn in H1: Report

This is a jump of about 177 per cent compared to a trade figure of $188.9 million recorded throughout all 2020, Xinhua news agency quoted the report released on Sunday as saying. Excluding diamonds, trade between the two countries totalled $229 million in January-June, up 143 per cent from $94.2 million in all 2020.
