Musk's lawyers are angling to push a Delaware Court of Chancery judge to grant them more time and power to gather information about bots on Twitter, citing sources, The New York Post reported on late Monday.

Musk texted the Twitter executives that the company's lawyers were trying to "cause trouble" after they requested information about the status of Musk's financing for a deal to buy Twitter, according to a lawsuit filed in Delaware, reports Business Insider. "Your lawyers are using these conversations to cause trouble. That needs to stop, "Musk was quoted as saying in a text to CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal on June 28."

Twitter suffers outage as users get error messages across web, app
While 65 per cent were unable to log in to Twitter website, 34 per cent had issues with the app, according to outage monitoring website Downdetector. Several users also faced "over capacity" error messages across Twitter web, mobile and the TweetDeck app. "Twitter went down for a few minutes and you almost has a heart attack cos not matter you try to deny it, you really love this app," posted on affected user.

Now, when a follower posted a link about Twitter submitting a poop emoji tweet as evidence of his disparaging behaviour, Musk replied with the same emoji, along with "BS (bullshit)" as text.

Twitter lawyers from Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz law firms are preparing for a long-drawn court battle after Musk filed paperwork with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to exit the acquisition deal. Twitter has now filed a letter with the SEC, saying Musk's termination attempt is invalid because "Mr. Musk and the other Musk Parties have knowingly, intentionally, willfully, and materially breached the Agreement,"

The platform has deployed several features to keep mentions civil, including an anti-harassment Safety Mode. Recently, it said that "we are experimenting with Unmentioning, a way to help you protect your peace and remove yourself from conversations, available on the Web for some of you now". Meanwhile, shares of the microblogging site fell about 6 per cent in premarket trading on Monday, amid the recent walkout by Elon Musk.
