AIMIM's undiminished sway over Hyderabad makes it irreplaceable in Telangana

No matter which party was in power in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, the support base of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) remained intact. There has been no change after Telangana was carved out as a separate state in 2014. Despite the reservations the Asaduddin Owaisi-led party had over the division of Andhra Pradesh, the party adapted itself to the new political scenario dominated by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). This friendship and the secular image of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao helped TRS secure the support of Muslim voters.
Wracked by infighting & revolt against PCC chief, Congress in disarray

The Congress appears to be in complete disarray with resignation of some of its top leaders in recent weeks and the open revolt by some seniors against state Congress chief A. Revanth Reddy. The recent resignation of sitting MLA from Munugode constituency, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, and his subsequent defection to BJP has added to the woes of the Congress, which does not look ready to confidently face a by-election. The outcome of the upcoming by-election is likely to indicate the direction of the wind before the 2023 polls.
TRS leader confronts Assam CM at Hyderabad rally

A leader of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti (BGUS) was addressing the gathering when a local leader of TRS climbed the dais, and confronted Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma taking objection to the comments he made earlier. He also tried to dislodge the mike. BGUS leaders caught hold of the TRS leader and whisked him away.
Presidential polls: TRS to support Yashwant Sinha

This was announced by TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, who took to Twitter to announce this on Monday. "President of @trspartyonline Sri KCR Garu has decided to extend support to the candidature of Sri @YashwantSinha Ji in the election for President of India Along with our Members of Parliament, I will be representing the TRS at the nomination today." Rama Rao along with TRS MPs left for New Delhi to represent TRS during the filing of nomination by Sinha later in the day.
