NIA Begins Interrogation of Tahawwur Rana to Uncover Full 26/11 Conspiracy

Rana, who is suspected to be one of the main conspirators in the 26/11 attacks, was arrested by the NIA on Thursday night following orders passed by a Special Court in New Delhi. A senior official said questioning at the NIA headquarters would start at about 10 a.m.

On April 9, 2025, U.S. officials officially extradited the 64-year-old to India. "Rana was extradited to stand trial for his role in orchestrating the gruesome 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks," U.S. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said at a briefing on April 11.
