The smartphone app, created by a public health researcher at University of South Florida, pairs an algorithm with a drone and satellite images to identify locations of previously unknown mosquito breeding habitats. The system works by identifying specific environments and organisms by their unique "fingerprint" - a red-green-blue value associated exclusively with a species or habitat.
US smartphone sales decline 6% in Q1, Apple leads

Overall, US smartphone sales were down 6 per cent (on-year) in Q1 2021, according to Counterpoint Research. "While Q1 2022 did see weaker sales compared to last year, this needs to be seen in context. It is not a sign of the market contracting because last year's Q1 was unusually high due to several factors driving demand," said Research Director Jeff Fieldhack. Apple's iPhone 12 series sales pushed into Q1 2021 due to its staggered launch causing higher premium demand in a usually soft quarter.
Smartphone app that could help screen neurological disease at home

The app uses a near-infrared camera, which is built into newer smartphones for facial recognition, along with a regular selfie camera to track how a person's pupil changes in size. These pupil measurements could be used to assess a person's cognitive condition, indicated the study, to be presented at the ACM Computer Human Interaction Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI 2022).

Apple will no longer repair iPhones reported as stolen

iPhone 14 Pro to feature larger camera bump due to new 48MP sensor

About 95.2 per cent of Honor of Kings' revenue was from China, followed by 2.5 per cent from Taiwan and approximately 1 per cent from Thailand, reports Sensor Tower. PUBG Mobile from Tencent was the second highest earning mobile game worldwide for February 2022 with $205.2 million in gross revenue.
