Markets open on positive note; Zomato, Asian Paints in green

At 9.30 a.m., the S&P BSE Sensex of the BSE traded at 60,166.86 points, up 0.26 per cent. It opened at 60179.93 points from the previous close of 60,008.33 points. Till now it touched a high of 60,167.00 points and a low of 59,936.24 points.
Fund outflows, valuation concerns dampen indices; realty stocks down

The FIIs sold Rs 344.35 crore on the BSE, the NSE and the MSEI in the capital market segment during the day's trade. Initially, both the key equity indices opened on a lower note from their respective previous closing marks.
Reliance activates Chatbot to assist investors for second and final call of partly paid shares

Reliance had made a Rights Issue of 42.26 crore equity shares at Rs 1,257 each. The final call of 50 per cent of the amount - Rs 628.50 per share - has now become due. November 10, 2021 was the record date to decide holders of the Reliance Partly Paid-up shares, who need to pay the Second and Final Call.
Reliance exits shale operations in North America

With this transaction, Reliance has divested all its shale gas assets and has exited from the shale gas business in North America. A purchase and sale agreement (PSA) was signed between REUHLP and Ensign on November 5 for this sale. The sale is at a consideration higher than the current carrying value of the assets.
L&T valuation doesn't capture multi-year investment cycle

"The former is probably not correct since the market is very excited about the prospects of a multi-year investment cycle in India and LT is well-positioned to participate in the same. The latter may require restructuring LT's conglomerate structure," it said. "In our view, LT's valuation does not adequately capture a potential multi-year investment cycle and LT's unique position in a large market opportunity."
Markets to remain volatile and choppy

At the end of the three-days and Muhurat trading, BSESENSEX gained 760.69 points or 1.28 per cent to close at 60,067.62 points. NIFTY gained 245.15 points or 1.39 per cent to close at 17,916.80 points. The Indian Rupee gained 42 paisa or 0.56 per cent to close at Rs 74.46 to the US Dollar. Wall Street reaps weekly gains amid Fed announcement, economic data

For the week ending Friday, the Dow rose 1.4 per cent, the S&P 500 increased 2 per cent, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq rallied nearly 3.1 per cent, Xinhua news agency reported. The S&P US Listed China 50 index, which is designed to track the performance of the 50 largest Chinese companies listed on US exchanges by total market cap, logged a weekly decline of 0.7 per cent.
Global cues lift sentiments; equity indices trade higher

At 9.45 a.m., the 30-scrip sensitive index traded at 59,661.74 points, up 35 4.81 points or 0.60 per cent. The Sensex opened at 59,577.48 points from its previous close of 59,306.93 points. Besides, the NSE Nifty50 traded at 17,794.85 points, higher by 123.20 points or 0.70 per cent. It opened at 17,783.15 points from its previous close of 17,671.65 points.
NSE registered investor base crosses 5 cr unique investors

According to the NSE, while the journey from three crore registered investors to four crore took about 15 months, the next one crore registrations took less than seven months. "The journey from 4 crore unique investors to 5 crore unique investors took about 203 days, with north Indian states contributing to 36 per cent of new investor registrations, followed by western India with 31 per cent, southern India states and eastern India states accounting for 20 per cent and 13 per cent of new investor registrations, respectively," the NSE said in a statement.
Equity indices trade lower; Sensex down by over 300 pts

At 10 a.m., the 30-scrip sensitive index traded at 60,504.75 points, down 316.87 points or 0.52 per cent. The Sensex opened at 61,398.75 points from its previous close of 60,821.62 points. Besides, the NSE Nifty50 traded at 17,989.40 points, lower by 125.50 points or 0.69 per cent. It opened at 18,229.50 points from its previous close of 18,114.90 points.
