The Congress leader reacted even after the consecutive meetings between the farmers and the government scheduled for today might resolve the issue.

The talks were held at the Union Agriculture Ministry that began in the evening at 7 p.m. The Minister asked the farmers' representatives to submit their suggestions by Wednesday after listening to them.

The meeting began on Monday at Amit Shah's residence in presence of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and other senior leaders of BJP. The meeting seems to indicate the willingness of the government to hold unconditional talks with agitating farmers.

The agitating farmers included Gurbani (Word of Gurus) as they addressed the gathering. The protest site at the Singhu border is covered with tractor trolleys and the farmers continue to stay there with their demands.

The agitating farmers fell into a violent riff with the police on the Singhu and Tikri border after which the police lathi-charged and shot tear gas shells besides water cannons to control the distress.

Breaking a three-four-layer police barricade between Panipat and Sonipat, thousands of farmers from Sangrur and Jandiala in Amritsar have been trying to march towards Delhi since dawn.
