Dell topples Samsung Mobiles as India's most desired brand: TRA Research
It has risen, from previous year's sixth position, to beat four-time leader Samsung Mobiles. Mi from Xiaomi became the second most desired brand in India gaining ten ranks from the 2020 report. Home-bound consumers showed a high preference for televisions and ranked LG Televisions third with a climb of twelve ranks over the previous year, closely followed by Samsung (television) at fourth rank.
Samsung ditches Galaxy Note series this year, bets on foldables
Dr TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, said that instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note this time around, "we will further broaden beloved Note features to more Samsung Galaxy devices", as the company prepares to enter the next generation of foldable Galaxy Z devices next month.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone launched in India
The smartphones is priced at Rs 19,999 for 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 21,999 for 8GB+128GB variant. "Galaxy A22 5G has been designed keeping in mind evolving consumer needs and comes with segment-leading features like smooth 90Hz display, versatile camera and a fast and efficient processor," Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head, Mobile Marketing, Samsung India, said in a statement.
Samsung says 'get ready to unfold' on Aug 11 with new devices

Samsung is expected to unveil latest foldable smartphones with lower price tags compared with its predecessors. The company is also expected to unveil, a Galaxy FE phone, two Galaxy Watches and a set of new Galaxy Buds. Galaxy Z Fold3 might come with support for the S Pen Pro.
Samsung launches upgraded modular 'The Wall' display
Samsung, the world's largest TV vendor, said the new modular display comes with enhanced micro artificial intelligence (AI) processor for better upscaling function. It also applied an emitting device 40 percent smaller than existing models to deliver better gradation and perfect black, reports Yonhap news agency. The latest Wall also supports 8K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung's Watch4 series to offer new chipset, more storage
SamMobile reports that the chipset should offer significant performance gains over its predecessors. For reference, all Samsung Watches dating back to 2018's Galaxy Watch have utilised the 10nm Exynos 9110. The new report specifies the W920 SoC will offer "1.25x faster processing times compared to the Exynos 9110" and "8.8x smoother graphics performance".
Samsung to launch new foldable phones with lower price tags
The South Korean tech giant is expected to start sales of the Galaxy Z Fold3 at around 1.99 million won ($1,744), which is 17 percent lower than the 2.39 million won set for the previous model, according to the sources. The price of the Galaxy Z Flip3 is also expected to be around 22 percent lower than the predecessor at 1.28 million won, reports Yonhap news agency.

According to noted social media leaker Evan Blass, the Samsung event is set to take place on August 11. Blass shared images of Galaxy Z Fold 3 in white, green and black colours. Galaxy Z Fold 3 may support the S Pen stylus. He also tweeted Galaxy Z Flip 3 in purple, black, gold and green colours. A recent report said that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature an under-display camera and support the S-Pen stylus.
