Samsung says 'get ready to unfold' on Aug 11 with new devices
"Get ready to unfold. August 11th at 10AM ET / 7AM PT," Samsung said in a teaser. The event will be streamlined virtual. Samsung is expected to unveil latest foldable smartphones with lower price tags compared with its predecessors. The company is also expected to unveil, a Galaxy FE phone, two Galaxy Watches and a set of new Galaxy Buds. Galaxy Z Fold3 might come with support for the S Pen Pro.
Samsung launches upgraded modular 'The Wall' display
Samsung, the world's largest TV vendor, said the new modular display comes with enhanced micro artificial intelligence (AI) processor for better upscaling function. It also applied an emitting device 40 percent smaller than existing models to deliver better gradation and perfect black, reports Yonhap news agency. The latest Wall also supports 8K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung's Watch4 series to offer new chipset, more storage
SamMobile reports that the chipset should offer significant performance gains over its predecessors. For reference, all Samsung Watches dating back to 2018's Galaxy Watch have utilised the 10nm Exynos 9110. The new report specifies the W920 SoC will offer "1.25x faster processing times compared to the Exynos 9110" and "8.8x smoother graphics performance".
Samsung to launch new foldable phones with lower price tags
The South Korean tech giant is expected to start sales of the Galaxy Z Fold3 at around 1.99 million won ($1,744), which is 17 percent lower than the 2.39 million won set for the previous model, according to the sources. The price of the Galaxy Z Flip3 is also expected to be around 22 percent lower than the predecessor at 1.28 million won, reports Yonhap news agency.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 may support the S Pen stylus. He also tweeted Galaxy Z Flip 3 in purple, black, gold and green colours. A recent report said that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature an under-display camera and support the S-Pen stylus.

According to a recent report from Taiwan, the vapour chamber cooling solution could be deployed in the Galaxy S22 scheduled for unveiling in 2022. As smartphones become thinner and lightweight, with lots of internal components and features that ramp up the temperature of the devices while in operation, the need for robust cooling solutions cannot be glossed over, GizmoChina reported.

The Samsung TV Plus service gives viewers access to nearly 140 streaming channels, like ABC News Live, PBS Kids, ION Plus, Vice and others in the US at the moment reports Protocol. Samsung considering launching Galaxy S21 FE in US, Europe only
Samsung is reportedly reviewing a plan to release the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) in the US and Europe after skipping the domestic market and other countries following the tight supply of mobile application processors. The Galaxy S21 FE will be reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor from Qualcomm Inc.
