Galaxy S22 series gets over 70k pre-bookings in just 12 hrs in India
The company said it is grateful to its consumers for the overwhelming response to the new Galaxy S22 series. The pre-bookings for Galaxy S22 series in India started on February 23. "Pre-Orders for Galaxy S22 series are extremely encouraging and we are committed to getting these devices to our customers as early as possible," Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head of Product Marketing, Samsung India, said in a statement.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available in 12GB+256GB storage and is priced at Rs 1,08,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs 1,22,999 for 5G variant. Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+ are available in 8GB+128GB storage variant, Tab S8+ is priced at Rs 74,999 for Wi-Fi variant and Rs 87,999 for 5G variant. The Tab S8 is priced at Rs 58,999 for Wi-Fi variant and Rs 70,999 for 5G variant.
Galaxy Tab S8 series arriving in India next week at a starting price of Rs 60k
The Tab S8 series is expected to start at Rs 60,000. The more premium and powerful Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is likely to cost Rs 1,20,000, industry sources told IANS. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch WQXGA (2,560x1,600 pixels) LTPS TFT display with 276ppi of pixel density. Under the hood, there is a 4nm octa-core SoC, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with up to 12GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S22 price in India has been set at Rs 72,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and 8GB + 256GB model comes with a price tag of Rs 76,999. The Galaxy S22+ starts at Rs 84,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and goes up to Rs 88,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,09,999 for the 12GB + 256GB option. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line 12GB + 512GB model that is priced at Rs 1,18,999.

The segment is forecast to grow by a CAGR of 122 per cent between 2019, the year the first foldable products launched, and 2024. Driven by Samsung, foldable smartphone shipments reached 8.9 million in 2021. The foldable segment grew 148 per cent year on year despite high price tags, while the overall smartphone market only grew 7 per cent, according to market research firm Canalys.
Samsung struggling to meet Galaxy Tab S8 demands: Report
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra started on February 10. Since demand was too high compared to the current supply, Samsung had to halt pre-orders in the states for the two models, reports SamMobile. Samsung's US website shows both the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are listed as "Sold Out" with only the Tab S8+ still available to pre-order.
