Samsung estimates $11 bn in Q2 profit riding on chip biz
In its earnings guidance, the South Korean tech giant estimated its operating profit at 14 trillion won ($11 billion) for the April-June period, up 11.38 per cent from a year ago. Its Q2 operating income estimate is slightly lower than analysts' earnings expectations of 14.5 trillion won in the data compiled by Yonhap Infomax, the financial arm of Yonhap News Agency.
Samsung to unveil Galaxy M13 series in India on July 14
The company said that Galaxy M13 5G features 5G connectivity with 11 bands support, RAM Plus that delivers up to 12GB RAM storage and innovative Auto Data Switching that let users stay connected even when their primary SIM is out of network. "With such showstopper features, Galaxy M13 series caters to the evolving needs of millennials and Gen Z consumers for uninterrupted, on-the-go entertainment," the company said in a statement.

Samsung unveils affordable Galaxy F13 in India
The Galaxy F13 is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+64 GB variant and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. It will be available in waterfall blue, sunrise copper and nightsky green colours from June 29 on online and at select retail stores. "Continuing the Samsung legacy of bringing meaningful innovations, we are pleased to launch the all-new Galaxy F13 -- the perfect partner for uninterrupted entertainment," Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head, Product Marketing, Samsung India, said in a statement.
Samsung unveils 2022 soundbar lineup in India

The company said that the pre-launch website is now live. "Samsung's popular Galaxy F series offers unprecedented style and experience to the aspirational Gen Z and consumers while delivering segment-best features," the company said in a statement. "After Galaxy F23's success earlier this year, Galaxy F13 is the second addition to the F series in 2022," it added.
Samsung launches Wallet to streamline digital keys, payment
To help users organise digital keys, boarding passes, identification cards and more in one application, South Korean tech giant Samsung on Thursday introduced a new platform -- Samsung Wallet. The company said that Samsung Wallet is protected by defence-grade security from Samsung Knox and takes advantage of an open Galaxy ecosystem by integrating with Samsung Blockchain Wallet to easily monitor cryptocurrencies and SmartThings to unlock doors.
Samsung set to unveil 3 Galaxy Watch 5 variants in August
According to a report in GoAndroid, the three Galaxy Watches are likely to come in 40mm, 44mm and 46mm variants. The SM-R900 Watch model will support Wifi, Bluetooth and NFC. The SM-R910 and SM-R920 Galaxy Watch 5 models will also offer the same connectivity options of WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity onboard, according to the FCC website.
Microsoft Xbox arrives on Samsung Gaming Hub
Samsung Gaming Hub is available on 2022 Smart TVs including Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLEDs2 and 2022 Smart Monitor Series. Powered by Tizen, Samsung Gaming Hub will become the world's first Smart TV platform to include the Xbox app on Smart TVs. With this partnership, Samsung Gaming Hub users are now able to stream over 100 high-quality games, through the Xbox app, including blockbuster titles like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5.
Samsung unveils new smart monitor 'M8' in India
Samsung on Friday unveiled its latest addition to the Smart Monitor series -- M8 -- with an upgraded and stylish design for Indian consumers. Priced at Rs 59,999, the company said that it is designed for modern-day users who need a product that offers both functionality and entertainment at the same time. M8 will be available in new colours such as sunset pink and spring Green from June 15 on online and online channels.
