Software updates for additional Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, will be available in the coming weeks, said the company. According to the company, it received bumper pre-booking for its newly-launched Galaxy S23 series in India, with 1,40,000 units worth Rs 1,400 crore being pre-booked in the first 24 hours which is a record for its flagship device portfolio. The company saw 2X demand for the locally-manufactured Galaxy S23 series from last year, especially for the S23 Ultra model.

"This time, we have seen 2X demand for the Galaxy S23 series from last year. The response to Galaxy S23 series, especially the Ultra model, is due to attractive pre-booking offers and our popular digital lending programme Samsung Finance+ which has brought thousands of aspirational Indians into our fold," Pullan told IANS.

The Galaxy S23 series comes in three variants -- S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in phantom black, cream, green, and lavender colours, and is available for pre-booking across online and offline retail stores in the country, starting February 2. The Galaxy S23 series comes with a custom-designed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and also comes with up to 2.7x larger vapour cooling chamber for reliable gaming performance.

The company on Wednesday unveiled three models in the new laptop series -- Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Book3 Pro 360 and Book3 Pro. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra will be available in 16-inch in Graphite, the Galaxy Book3 Pro will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch Graphite and Beige colour options

The company added that it already fulfils a majority of the domestic demand in India through local manufacturing at the Noida factory. Now, the newly-launched Galaxy S23 series -- Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 -- will also be manufactured locally.

The upcoming Z Fold 5 is expected to launch in the second half of this year, reports SamMobile. The 108MP main camera is likely to make the device a bit heavier which will make it weigh around 275 grams, for comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 weighs 263 grams.
