The FIR has been accessed by IANS in which the CBI has made shocking allegations. "Sameer Wankhede is accused of engaging in buying and selling of expensive watches without disclosing this information. He also allegedly concealed details of his expenses during his foreign trips," the CBI source said quoting FIR.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Malik has sent a complaint to Suchitra Sharma, Director General, Vigilance, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) against former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai head Sameer Wankhede. Malik said Wankhede is holding a permit room and bar licence in his name from 1997 onwards till date. Wankhede is operating a hotel and bar named Sadguru Hotel in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Malik said.

In his affidavit in response to an explanation sought by the court why action should not be taken against him as prima facie, Malik had "wilfully breached" its order, he tendered an "unconditional apology" to Justice S. J. Kathawalla and Justice Milind Jadhav. He also said that his utterances were not any press releases or statements but were part of interviews with the media outlets when he was merely replying to questions asked by journalists.

Talking to mediapersons, Malik claimed that he has acquired some e-mails and WhatsApp chats of officers of Central probe agencies "instigating" people to lodge false complaints against him. "I have all the evidence with full details of the conspirators... I am going to lodge a complaint with Mumbai Police Commissioner and also Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a thorough probe and necessary action," Malik asserted.

The Maharastra Minister posted a series of tweets saying Harshada Dinanath Redkar's name was listed as 'respondent and advocate' in a 2008 case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, in a Pune Court and he also embedded ‘proof’ of his claim. The minister further said that Harshada is the sister of Marathi actress Kranti Dinanath Redkar, the second wife of Wankhede.
