Questioning its legality, India abstains on Ukraine reparations resolution

"The legal validity of such a process by a General Assembly Resolution remains unclear," India's Permanent Representative Ruchira Kamboj said on Monday after abstaining on the vote. "We must, therefore, not create mechanisms or set precedents without adequate international legal vetting that have implications for the future functioning of the United Nations and the international economic system," she said.
Russian forces continue to repulse attacks by Ukraine, inflict damage

According to a statement issued by the Russian embassy in New Delhi, in Kupyansk direction, two company tactical groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) made unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian forces towards Kuzemovka (Lugansk People's Republic). However, firepower operation has resulted in halting and driving the enemy units back to their initial frontier.
Russian forces committed war crimes in Kherson: Zelensky

In his nightly video address on Sunday, the President said: "Investigators have recorded more than 400 Russian war crimes; bodies of civilians and military personnel who had been killed are being found. "The atrocities the Russian army has left behind in Kherson Oblast (region) are the same as (atrocities committed) in other parts of our country that it was able to occupy."
Turkey works on 'peace corridor' between Ukraine, Russia: Erdogan

Ankara has been working on the establishment of "a peace corridor" in the same way that it had made it possible for the grain corridor from Ukraine to resume, the President told reporters onboard a flight from Uzbekistan to Turkey. "We think the best way to achieve peace is through a path of dialogue. But for now, the most important thing for us is to operate the grain corridor seriously," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Ukraine takes back key city of Kherson

Kherson was the only regional capital taken by Russia after the February 24 invasion. It was the first major city to fall to Moscow. Following the retreat of Russian troops, seen as one of its biggest setbacks of the ongoing war, the Ukrainian armed forces entered Kherson city, located on the right bank of the Dnieper River, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Kiev's Defence Ministry said on Friday.
Russian forces booby-trapping Kherson to turn it into 'city of death'

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head office of Ukraine's president, tweeted that Russia "wants to turn Kherson into a 'city of death'", The Guardian reported. He claimed that the Russian military "mines everything they can: apartments, sewers", and that "artillery on the left bank" of the Dnieper River "plans to turn the city into ruins".
North Korean missile fired last week similar to one used by Russia in Ukraine'

The Ministry announced the results of an inter-agency analysis of the debris of a missile that North Korea fired southward on November 2 past the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the East Sea, reports Yonhap News Agency. The debris is around 3 metres long and 2 metres wide, assessed to be that of an "SA-5" surface-to-air missile, given its appearance and feature, it said.
Ukraine says dialogue with Moscow possible only after Russia's withdrawal

In an interview with an Italian daily, Podolyak on Tuesday added that a potential ceasefire deal at the current stage of the conflict would provide Russia with time to strengthen its positions. "The ceasefire for Russia is a tactical pause for reinforcement," he said. While commenting on the reports that the representatives of the US Pentagon and the Russian Defence Ministry are involved in talks, Podolyak added that "there are no negotiations between Russia and Western countries regarding Ukraine".
