According to Antigua Ness Room, a news outlet in Carribean island, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has said that Choksi's lawyers wrote to the police commissioner providing the names of the people he believes abducted him. Browne said both the police and the government are taking the allegations seriously. While speaking to a radio, Browne said that he has learnt that Choksi has filed a complaint with Antigua and Barbuda police that he was abducted and taken to Dominica.

According to Antigua News Room, a news outlet based in the Caribbean island, it was adjourned to allow lawyers for Choksi and the Dominican government to agree on the language to be used with respect to the injunction filed to prevent his removal from Dominica. It said that both parties are expected to meet to discuss the matter and to inform the judge, who will set a new court date.

The Antiguan Cabinet under Prime Minister Gaston Browne said that the cabinet prefers that Choksi is sent directly to India from Dominica. According to Antigua News Room, a news outlet in the Caribbean Island, the Antigua Cabinet held a discussion on the Choksi matter, awaiting the decision of the High Court of Dominica.

Choksi appeared before the magistrate on a wheelchair wearing a blue T-shirt and black pant. According to Dominica News Online, a news outlet in the Caribbean island, the Magistrate's court in Dominica has denied bail to Choksi after the government prosecutor argued that he is facing 11 offences in India and extradition proceedings in Antigua and could be a flight risk. The magistrate has adjourned the matter to June 14.

Choksi appeared before the magistrate in a wheelchair. Earlier on Wednesday, the Dominica High Court ruled that Choksi, who is wanted in India in the Rs 13,500 crore Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case, must be brought before a local magistrate on Wednesday afternoon to face charges of illegal entry.

He also alleged that he was beaten up by the officials. In a statement to Business Standard newspaper, Choksi said that he was abducted from the Carribean Island of Antigua on the night of May 23 from where he was forcibly taken on a boat to the island of Dominica. In a statement to Business Standard, Choksi, who is wanted in India in the Rs 13,500 crore Punjab and National Bank (PNB) loan fraud case, said that a friend of his in Antigua named Barbara Jabarika had invited him to her house.

It claimed that the meeting between the two men lasted for two hours at Linton's home, where they discussed several aspects related to Choksi's arrest and "agreed on the commitment that in exchange for token money and promise of election donation, the opposition leader will press the matter in the Parliament".

According to informed sources, an eight-member team from India reached Dominica on Saturday afternoon in a private jet that left from New Delhi on Friday evening. The sources said that two members each from MEA, CBI and ED along with two CRPF commandos were in Dominica for the hearing in the Choksi extradition matter scheduled on June 2.

Choksi’s Antiguan lawyer Justin Simon said the news of his client being transferred to a hospital from police custody was true. Simon implied that the news coming out of Dominican publications were true and that he would not send ‘fake news information’. Earlier, Antiguan Prime Minister Gaston Browne claimed that Choksi reportedly took his girlfriend on a “romantic trip” to Dominica where he was caught.
