Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 'Super 12' clash against arch-rivals India on Sunday (October 24), Akhtar trained his guns at the Kane Williamson-led side for cancelling their limited-overs tour of Pakistan hours before the start of first ODI in Rawalpindi last month due to "security issues". "Our real anger is with New Zealand. We will take it out on them, we have no issues with you (India)," said Akhtar, speaking to Salaam Cricket 2021 on Friday.

For Oman, Fayyaz Butt and Bilal Khan were the most successful of the bowlers with three wickets each while Kaleemullah picked two. In reply, Oman batters Jatinder Singh and Kashyap Prajapati made full use of the fielding restrictions and kept the scoreboard ticking.

In a low-scoring match, Bangladesh, chasing 140, could manage only 134 giving the newcomers Scotland a surprise win. "Our batting is a concern. We have to bat better. We have to play aggressive cricket, regardless of the situation. We have a deep batting line-up, with Mohammad Saifuddin at No.9. We may need to think over some changes," said Mahmudullah.
