Pak clarifies IS remarks by FM Qureshi
MoFA spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said certain sections of the media had "have misquoted and twisted" Qureshi's remarks on the need for peace and stability in Afghanistan through an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned process. "His remarks cannot be in anyway be misconstrued as advocacy for a particular side in the Afghan conflict.''
'Will turn Afghanistan into ruins so that it can't compete with Pak'

Pak soldier killed in military post attack
The military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in the statement that the terrorists opened fire on the post in the Ghariom area of North Waziristan district on Monday. The ISPR said that "Own troops responded in a befitting manner," and during the exchange of fire with the militants, one soldier of the Pakistani Army was killed.

Pak refuses to accept more Afghan refugees
Yusuf said that if a civil war erupts in Afghanistan, the asylum seekers should not be pushed towards Pakistan, according to media reports. The NSA and Faiz Hameed, head of Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), had embarked on a visit to the US for discussions over Afghanistan and bilateral issues. While Hameed has left Washington, Yusuf is still in the US.

Militant groups may target Chinese assets in Pakistan more frequently
The deep-rooted fear that the Chinese have of such incidents being repeated has led them to discuss the issue with Pakistan Foreign Minister Mahmood Kureshi and ISI chief Faiz Hameed, who visited China on July 23. Besides a number of issues discussed by both the sides, the safety and security of Chinese workers dominated the meeting.
