Priced at Rs 32,999, the 50-inch smart TV offers a smarter and connected ecosystem experience. It has been introduced as the new screen size variant in addition to the OnePlus TV Y Series 43-inch Y1S Pro, launched earlier this year. Powered by Android TV 10 platform, the affordable smart TV boots OxygenPlay 2.0 interface, and the company claims to transform users' viewing experience by providing excellent clarity and astounding visual detail. The new smart TV 50 has a 50-inch 4K resolution screen of 10-bit colour depth. It also offers Ultra HD display along with HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG format support for a superior viewing experience.

According to GizmoChina, the suit resulted from the breakdown in discussions between Nokia and OPPO over 4G (LTE) and 5G patents. While instituted cases are in four countries, OPPO countersued Nokia in nine countries. OPPO had stated that the lawsuit filed by Nokia was shocking. The German Regional Court ruling is the first ruling regarding the disputed patents.

As Smart TVs come of age, more and more Indians, especially millennial and Gen Z, are seeking connected experiences and OnePlus is targeted to bring an even more accessible connected ecosystem experience with smarter TV experience at affordable price points, the company's India CEO said on Friday. OnePlus stepped into the smart TV segment in Q3 2019 with the launch of its Q Series in India.

The new TVs -- OnePlus TV Y1S and OnePlus TV Y1S Edge -- will be available in 32-inch and 43-inch variants. The Y1S 32-inch is priced at Rs 16,499 and the Y1S 43-inch at Rs 26,999. Meanwhile, Y1S Edge 32-inch will be available at Rs 16,999 and Y1S Edge 43-inch at Rs 27,999.

A notable update is the addition of a shooting mode called RAW Plus which, like Apple's ProRAW format, combines the benefits of computational photography and RAW image capture, reports The Verge. The RAW+ mode will be an upgrade over the traditional RAW mode on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.

The virtual launch will happen on OnePlus India's YouTube channel on January 14. "With just a few days to go, users can also register to get notified and receive real-time updates via the 'Notify Me' page, which is live on OnePlus.in and Amazon.in," the company said in a statement. The OnePlus RT is said to be a rebranded OnePlus 9RT that was launched in China later last year.

The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and will run on the Android 12 operating system, reports GizmoChina.
