Nitish visited the statue of famous writer Phanishwar Nath Renu in Patna and said that he has directed the State Chief Secretary and Bihar DGP to send a team to observe the ground situation in Tamil Nadu. Bihari labourers were brutally assaulted by local Tamilians for the last 15 days. Many of the labourers returned home and complained about the brutality in Tamil Nadu.

The opposition leaders are frequently putting up a show of unity at rallies, conventions and birthday parties. It happened during the convention of the CPI-ML in Patna, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) rally in Purnea as well as in Chennai on Wednesday when Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated.

The saffron party has been unleashing scathing attacks on Nitish in the Legislative Assembly and at public meetings in the state. According to sources, the BJP is planning to expose Nitish and gain his votebank in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Under this strategy, the BJP which gave Nitish the title of Sushasan Babu.

He had earlier said that "Jo Piyega Wo Marega" after the Saran liquor tragedy, that claimed more than 100 lives and blinded many others, in the first week of January. Participating in the debate on the motion of thanks on the the Governor's speech during the third day of the Budget session, Nitish Kumar said that the opposition leaders are saying that people are dying due to the consumption of poisonous liquor.

He also asked the Chief Minister to take action against officers who misbehaved with the father. Nitish Kumar himself revealed the incident in the Assembly on the third day of the Budget session on Wednesday. While BJP MLAs including Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha were walking out from the house on this issue, he asked them to stay in.

During police investigation, it came to the fore that three bike-borne assailants recently opened fire on protesters in Muzaffarpur in which a youth identified as Rahul Kumar died. Three persons arrested in this connection are said to have links with Mansoori. Rahul's family and other protesters have alleged that the firing was done on Mansoori's direction.

Questioned on the matter in the Assembly, Sudhakar Singh said: "Whatever I gave statements so far, all of them are in public domain. The people have elected me and sent me to Vidhan Sabha. Hence, I came here and asked questions related to their interest. I am guided by the people of Bihar and I don't bother about the opinions of others. I will ask questions to the chief minister. If anyone criticises me, they are free to do so."

"We have formed the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah came from Delhi and said many things. One of them (Amit Shah) said here in Purnea today that the airport is almost completed. Where is the airport. The Bihar government has acquired land and handed over to the Centre, why the airport was not constructed.

"Kumar is a person who dreams about the prime minister's chair every three years and resorts to 'paltimar' tactics. He did the same in August last year and went to those whom our NDA was opposed to right from the start. We have now decided never to open our doors for Nitish Kumar in BJP," Shah said while addressing the media persons in Loharia village of West Champaran district.

"Nitish Kumar was thinking about moving from the post from Chief Minister of Bihar to Prime Minister of the country but his alliance partners are not accepting it. Congress has said that Rahul Gandhi will be the only person who will be the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
