FPIs sold stocks worth Rs 10,921 cr in Aug

The consolidated NSDL data shows the August FPI investment through 18th at Rs 8,993 crore. But this figure includes bulk deals and investment through the primary market. In the cash market FPIs sold stocks for Rs 10,921 crore and they were sellers in 10 days and buyers in only three days in August, so far, he added.

Gaming firm Roblox sued for $200M over music copyright issues

The lawsuit alleged that Roblox "actively preys on its impressionable user base and their desire for popular music, teaching children that pirating music is perfectly acceptable". The lawsuit also seeks a court order that will make Roblox crack down on piracy.
Spotify paid over $23B in royalties to rights holders

Rightsholders are distributors or record labels who then pay artists from the royalties they earn. Nearly 870 artists' catalogues on Spotify generated 1 million or more in royalties, reports The Verge. The company said that there are 1.2 million artists with over 1,000 listeners on the platform. Nearly 15 per cent, or 184,500, of their catalogues, generated recording and publishing royalties of at least 1,000, it added.
