But Cummins changed the fortune of the match as he slammed six sixes and four fours in his whirlwind knock of an unbeaten 56 off just 15 balls. Cummins also slammed 35 runs off Australia team-mate Daniel Sams' 16th over as he equalled KL Rahul's record for fastest IPL fifty in 14 balls.

In an exhilarating thriller, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday thrashed Mumbai Indians (MI) by 5 wickets. KKR versus MI is one of the most entertaining rivalries in IPL history. In that match, batsmen were finding it difficult to score runs on the dry pitch of Pune. However, both of the teams showed their ability and fighting spirit by never quitting till the end.

In the run-up to their second match in IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals, five-time champions Mumbai Indians hit the nets for an afternoon session at the Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai, monitored and mentored by team icon Sachin Tendulkar. This was the first training session that batting legend Tendulkar attended along with the coaching staff. Tendulkar had joined the team a few days back after undergoing the mandatory quarantine period.
