Addressing a round table with top corporate hospitals here, he highlighted the need to strengthen the approach of hospitals to collaboratively provide high-quality healthcare services to the deserving population of the country. He also stressed that the various challenges stated by the hospitals can be resolved through the collective efforts of the government and the stakeholders.

The Mission will have three rounds and will be conducted in 416 districts which will include 75 districts identified for Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav across 33 States/UTs in the country. In the first round from Feb-April 2022, 11 states - Assam, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura and Chhattisgarh will conduct IMI 4.0.

"The fight against Covid is a joint effort and joint responsibility of the Centre and the states, and I am happy that we have faced this public health challenge with a collaborative spirit," said the Health Minister. The virtual meeting, which was also attended by Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health, was held to review the public health preparedness for containment and management of Covid and the progress of the national vaccination campaign.
