Manmohan Singh diagnosed with dengue, gradually improving: AIIMS

The official said that the former Prime Minister's "platelets are increasing and is out of danger now". The veteran Congress leader was admitted to the AIIMS on Wednesday evening after he complained of fever and weakness.Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also visited him and enquired about his health.

Singh has been admitted to the Cardio Tower of AIIMS Delhi. He is being treated by a team of doctors led by Nitish Nayak. He had developed fever two days ago and was feeling weak, following which he had to be rushed to the AIIMS. In April this year, the former Prime Minister had tested positive for Covid-19, and had to be admitted to AIIMS.
Manmohan to head Congress panel on 75 yrs of Independence celebrations

In a statement, Congress said: "The committee will plan and coordinate the one-year long celebration of 75th anniversary of Independence." The other members of the committee are A.K. N.K. Singh replaces former PM Manmohan Singh as IEG president

Former CII Director General Tarun Das is the current chairman of the Board of Governors while Ajit Mishra is the director of the institute. The name of N.K. Singh was suggested for consideration of the general assembly of IEG by Manmohan Singh, widely regarded as the architect of economic liberalisation of 1990s and had served as president of IEG since 1992.
