Targeted by terror, Shias of Kashmir reject Pakistan
This is, however, not the first such terrorist attack on Shia Imambargahs of Pakistan. The country which was created in the name of Islam has been witnessing some of the deadliest sectarian attacks on Shia Muslims since last 40 years that has taken lives of anywhere between 40,000 to 70,000 Shia Muslim men, women and children in various incidents of massacres as well as targeted sectarian killings all over Pakistan by Sunni extremist forces.

Police said acting on specific information generated by police regarding presence of terrorists in village Sirhama, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by police and army. "As the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorist fired indiscriminately upon the search party which was retaliated leading to an encounter," police said.
LeT terrorist killed in encounter at Anantnag in J&K
"One local terrorist of proscribed terror outfit LeT killed. Search in progress. Further details shall follow. However, in the encounter at Kulgam, no terrorist has been neutralised yet. Operation going on," police said. The firefight between terrorists and security forces at Anantnag took place after a joint team of the police and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.

The Ministry said a total of 841 Kashmiri migrants had returned to Kashmir Valley in 2020-21 while 1,264 people went back in 2021-22. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on Wednesday told the Rajya Sabha that four Kashmiri Pandits among 14 Hindus were killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir since 2019. Moreover, 34 people belonging to minority communities were killed by the terrorists in the last five years including 11 in 2021.

4 terrorists killed in 3 Kashmir encounters
Of the four terrorists, two were killed in Pulwama, and one each in Handwara and Ganderbal. According to the authorities, two terrorists belonged to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit and the two others were from Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). Meanwhile, security forces managed to capture one terrorist.
2 terrorists killed, 3 army soldiers injured in J&K's Pulwama
Two terrorists were killed and three Indian Army soldiers were injured during an encounter between the militants and security forces at Naina Batpora area in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, the police said on Thursday.
