Soon after the gun toting militants appeared in the streets of Kashmir in 1990 they carried out the selective killings of members of Kashmiri Pandit community leading to the forced exodus of the entire community from the Valley. These people left everything behind and are still living in exile. But a few members of the minority communities stayed behind and are still living in Kashmir.

"We have received an Email from ISIS-Kashmir on the official ID of MP Gautam Gambhir on November 23 at 9.32 p.m.," read the complaint filed by Gambhir's PS. The mail, accessed by IANS, read: "We are going to kill you and your family." Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said that an investigation into the matter is underway and the security arrangement outside the Delhi MP's residence has been tightened.
15 new ministers sworn in Rajasthan cabinet expansion

The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to Hemaram Choudhary first who had resigned from the post of MLA in May accusing the government of neglecting his constituency. Hemaram has now been given a cabinet berth in place of Harish Chaudhary. Next, Mahendrajit Singh Malviya was sworn in at number two and Ramlal Jat came at number three. Jat touched the feet of the Chief Minister. New minister of state Zahida Khan took oath in English.

However, suspense remains on those who have been dropped from the Cabinet. Among the ministers who are to be sworn in on Sunday include Hemaram Chaudhary, Ramesh Meena and Vishvendra Singh -- from former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot's camp. While Chaudhary submitted his resignation a few months ago alleging that the state government is not paying heed to his demands as MLA, Meena and Singh were removed from their cabinet portfolios after the rebellion by the Pilot camp last year.

The mercury level also dropped in the other parts of the valley as Srinagar had the minimum temperature of minus 1 while Pahalgam recorded minus 2.0 degrees and Gulmarg had minus 1.0 degrees, the IMD report revealed.
5 terrorists killed in 2 Kashmir encounters identified

The twin encounters took place at Pombay and Gopalpora in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday. Two anti-terrorist operations were carried out after acting on specific inputs generated by the Kulgam police about the presence of terrorists in the two villages of the district a in which five terrorists were eliminated. Aafaq Sikander, the commander of TRF, a famous terror outfit was also included in the 5 terrorists who were killed by the security forces.
117 terrorists recruited by terror groups in J&K in 2021

These terrorists were hired by the terror organisations active in J&K, they added. The officials in the force said that a total of 48 battalions of the CRPF have been deployed in Jammu and Kashmir so far. Out of that, 22 battalions have been deployed exclusively for Srinagar while 22 for the rest of Kashmir.
'White collar' terrorism won't be allowed in J&K: Army

Lt General, D.P. Pandey, GOC of Srinagar headquartered 15 corps said, "Won't allow white collar terrorism to prevail in Jammu and Kashmir. "People who act behind (earning money, status, great jobs for their own families and Children) to recruit and fund terrorism in Kashmir should be questioned by our people".
