Hamas aerial operations chief Abu Rukbeh was responsible for the terror outfit's drone operations, aerial detection systems and hand gliders, the IDF and Shin Bet said in a joint statement. The statement further said that the slain Hamas leader was responsible for guiding and execution of the aerial operations of October 7 that led to hordes of Hamas terrorists reaching Israel soil and executing the killings.

The proposal, titled "Protection of civilians and upholding legal and humanitarian obligations," was submitted by Jordan and gained the support of over 40 co-sponsoring nations, including Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Russia, and South Africa.

So far, 18,967 Palestinians have been injured since the fighting broke out, the Ministry said on Friday in a statement as quoted by Xinhua news agency report. Israel has launched massive airstrikes and limited ground operations against Gaza in retaliation for a surprise attack by Gaza-ruling Hamas militants on Israeli military targets and towns on October 7, which has killed at least 1,400 people in Israel.
Israel likely to commence ground operations tonight

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari had also indicated this during a routine media briefing on Friday evening. He said the IDF is intensifying its efforts, adding that it has launched attacks from air, sea and land. Hagari also said that during the last few hours, Israel has been shelling in the Gaza Strip.
