Smart won for 'Hacks' Season 2, which aired on HBO Max beginning in May. The show was renewed for a third season in June shortly after the second season debuted. On Saturday evening (London time), she was honoured in the USA for her special TV show 'Adele: One Night Only' which aired via CBS last year as she prepared to unleash her chart topper, '30'. Her show was up for five awards - and won all of them. She also defeated 'One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett', Norm Macdonald's Netflix special, and the Harry Potter 20th anniversary special 'Return to Hogwarts'.

"It's a giant career milestone to host an Emmys, an Oscars, a Tonys, whatever. So you get that phone call, you should take it!" 'A moment of pride for us,' says Madhvani, despite no award

Responding to a query from IANS about how it felt to see so many Indians at an international awards event celebrating the best of television outside the U.S., Madhvani said during an interaction early on Tuesday: "When we attended the cocktail event last evening, all of us were feeling so happy. Nawazuddin (Siddiqui) was there. I met Vir Das too. When we saw all of us, at such a huge platform, yes, it was a moment of pride for all of us ... standing together as Indians."
