He was commissioned on January 1, 1988 into the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (71st Course, Delta Squadron) the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur (Bangladesh) and the National Defence College, New Delhi.

The LCA Mark 1A is the most advanced variant of the aircraft and is equipped with a range of advanced features such as AESA radar, a digital map generator, and advanced radio altimeter, among others. The variant will be equipped with an electronic warfare suite, including radar warning and self-protection jamming, as well as combined interrogator and transponder technology.
LCA accomplishes maiden landing onboard INS Vikrant

A Navy spokesperson said that this is a historical milestone achieved towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat by Indian Navy as naval pilots carried out the landing of LCA (Navy) onboard INS Vikrant, demonstrating India's capability to design, develop, construct and operate the indigenous aircraft carrier with indigenous fighter aircraft.
Govt gives nod to procure Pralay ballistic missiles for armed forces

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) had last year in December successfully conducted the maiden flight test of the indigenously developed surface-to-surface Pralay missile. Pralay is capable of striking and destroying targets in the range of 150-500 km, and can also be used in the night to attack enemy's targets.

The successful user training launch of the SLBM by INS Arihant is significant to prove crew competency and validate the SSBN programme, a key element of India's nuclear deterrence capability, it said. Pakistani drone dropped weapon at border

According to sources in Border Security Force (BSF), one Pakistani drone was spotted near Pul Moran inside Indian territory near Amritsar at around 2.45 a.m. on Monday. A BSF's patrolling party swung into action and opened fire towards drone following which the drone dropped a bag hanging with it and returned to Pakistan.

IAF sacks three officers for misfiring of BrahMos missile into Pakistan

The IAF in a statement said, "BrahMos missile was accidentally fired on 09 March 2022. A Court of Inquiry (CoI), set up to establish the facts of the case, including fixing responsibility for the incident, found that deviation from the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by three officers led to the accidental firing of the missile."
