"India will not impose restrictions on laptop imports," Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said at a press conference on Friday.

The Chromebook devices will be manufactured at the Flex Facility near Chennai, where HP has been producing a range of laptops and desktops since August 2020. 

The new laptops are available at a starting price of Rs 2,20,000 at HP online stores and select HP world stores in Natural Silver and Slate Blue color options. The new Dragonfly laptops come powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors to meet the needs of mobile tech-forward leaders.

The HP Envy x360 15 is available at the starting price of Rs 78,999 at HP online store and HP world stores, the company said in a statement. The new laptops come with a 15.6-inch OLED touch display which can be adjusted to the ideal position for working, writing, watching and playing.

"HP is enhancing and expanding a world-class ecosystem of hardware and software with its new portfolio, designed to empower gamers and deliver the best experiences whether they're gaming, creating, or connecting," Vickram Bedi, Senior Director (Personal Systems), HP India, said in a statement.

While some government and education orders helped its commercial segment clock a share of 34.7 per cent, strong demand in offline channels helped its consumer segment, as it held a share of 32.6 per cent there, according to an IDC report. Lenovo was second with a 15.7 per cent share despite witnessing a decline of 37.5 per cent YoY.

The next generation of HP EliteBook and ProBook devices are equipped for premium collaboration with HP Presence (for an enriched video conferencing experience on the PC) with and next-level productivity. The enterprise-ready HP EliteBook 800 and 805 G10 Series PC lineup is equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core processor or next-generation AMD Ryzen processor and offers up to 64GB LPDDR5 memory.

The new HP Pavilion Aero 13 comes available in Rose Pale Gold, Warm Gold, and Natural Silver colour options at a starting price of Rs 72,999. The new laptop weighs less than 1 kg, making it suitable for a hybrid workstyle, according to the company.
