PKL 9: Maninder Singh helps Bengal Warriors win against Bengaluru Bulls
Maninder Singh and Shrikant Jadhav starred for the Warriors with 12 & 9 points respectively. The Bengal Warriors drew first blood in the fast-paced early exchanges, with Maninder Singh's Super Raid giving them the momentum. The Bulls however landed a Super Tackle on Maninder with Aman leading the defensive charge and Bharat chipped in with raids, as the contest started to even out close to the 10-minute mark.

The Puneri Paltan kept raging on and inflicted an ALL OUT in the 17th minute to take the lead at 16-14. Moments later, Akash Shinde carried out a brilliant raid, catching out Reza Mirbagheri and Abhishek KS. Shinde continued to shine as Puneri Paltan led at 20-16 at the end of the first half.

The game kicked off with Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh tackling Desai on the very first raid of the evening. The clash between the two was the highlight of the day, and in the beginning stages, it looked like Chiyaneh had Desai's number. But soon enough it proved to not be the case.

The two sides played out a neck and neck contest in the opening minutes and were locked at 2-2 in the 4th minute. However, Narender effected a raid and the Thalaivas tackled Guman Singh in quick succession as the side from Tamil Nadu took the lead at 5-3 in the 8th minute.

Tamil Thalaivas took a big lead at the end of the first half and maintained it despite Bengal Warriors put up a strong fight in the second half and eventually emerged victorious with 35-30 in the end. Narender picked up a few raids as the Tamil Thalaivas took the lead at 5-3 in the 4th minute. However, the Warriors tackled Narender soon after and stayed in the game at 5-7.

The Delhi skipper put Steelers' defenders on the backfoot straightaway into the match, and finished the game with 15 points, helping his team get the big win. Naveen started the match for Dabang Delhi and earned a bonus point straightaway. On the other end, Meetu was caught by Sandeep Dhull with a backhold as Delhi took an early lead. But Manjeet earned a SUPER RAID to put Haryana Steelers in front with a two-point lead. The momentum shifted again as Naveen earned a bonus and a raid point to give back his side the lead.

A late surge by the Bulls with Bharat at the centre of it, sparked the stadium to life in one of the best games of the season. With this win, Puneri Paltan moved to the top spot on the points table. Billed as a clash between the Bulls' raiding power against Pune's strength in defence, the start did not disappoint. Despite a quick start by the Bulls, who matched the Paltan point for point in the early exchanges, the Paltan defence gave the impetus to their team a few minutes later.

In a game of defenders taking centre stage for both sides, Delhi's Vishal & Amit Hooda scored 5 tackle points each, while Patna's Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh set the record for the most tackle points in a single game (16 points) in the history of the tournament. Vijay Malik picked up a few raid points as the Dabang Delhi KC took the lead at 9-3 in the 7th minute. The Pirates were on the verge of getting all out, but they tackled Naveen Kumar and stayed afloat.

U Mumba were off to a flyer in the early exchanges with Guman Singh and Kiran Magar leading the charge. And without much ado, the U-Mumba side kept the Titans at arms' length, holding on to the lead, especially with the defensive unit chipping in as well.
