Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes sentenced to over 11 years in prison

She faced sentencing after being found guilty of defrauding investors and endangering patients. According to media reports, she will have to report to prison on April 27, 2023, and will have an additional three years of supervised release once she's out from the prison. Judge Edward Davila declared that the charges she had been found guilty of made her responsible for defrauding 10 victims out of $121 million, according to The New York Times.
Domestic investor holding at all time high

FPI who were relentless sellers in the Indian market from October 2021 to June 2022 turned net buyers in July and the buying continues in August, so far. Domestic investors now larger holders than FPIs in India's top companies for first time since 2010

The last quarter alone saw a near 90 bps rise in domestic ownership while FPI ownership of sample of 75 companies fell 84 bps QoQ. At 25.6 per cent ownership of India's largest 75 companies, domestic investors are now larger holders than FPIs for the first time since 2010, the report said. Average sector positions went higher in the latest quarter led by domestic institutions albeit FPIs continue to run more active portfolios.

The last time that the FIIs bought on a net basis for the year was in 2019 and 2020 when they invested Rs 40,000 crore and Rs 64,000 crore, respectively. At this time, domestic institutions also bought 42,000 crore in 2019 but sold 36,000 crore in 2020. In 2021, FIIs sold Rs 93,000 crore while domestic funds bought 95,000 crore.
