"The farmers would reach the border points on tractors and trolleys and fortify the venues after pitching their tents," Tikait warned in a post on twitter. Tikait has been leading a consortium of farmers' groups and unions under the banner of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) since last 11 months demanding the withdrawal of the three farm laws passed by the Centre in 2020.

The installations were made to stop the farmers from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh from entering the national capital. The barricades were lifted after 11 months on Thursday at the Tikri border and on Friday morning at the Ghazipur border. The concrete wall and sharp nails, which were also a part of the fencing, were also removed by the police.
Speeding truck kills 3 women farmers at Tikri border

Two other women farmers were also injured in the accident which took place at around 6 a.m. The speeding truck ran over a divider and hit the women as they were waiting for an auto to return to their villages. According to the police, two of the victims were killed on the spot, while the third died in a hospital. The truck driver managed to escape following the accident. With the death of the three women farmers, a total of 700 farmers have died so far in the farmers protests that started in September 2020.
Amarinder to meet Shah on farmers' stir

The widow of an accused-deceased told the top court that her husband's killers were roaming free, and no action has been taken against them. Senior advocate Dushyant Dave, representing the farmers' group, submitted before a bench headed by justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul that road blockade would end, if permission is granted to continue the protest either at Ramlila Maidan or Jantar Mantar. The bench asked SKM and other farmer unions to file their response in four weeks in the matter, and scheduled the matter for further hearing on December 7.

The farmers are protesting in support of their demand to remove Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Misra Teni from the Cabinet following the Lakhimpur Kheri violence in which his son Ashish Misra is the main accused. Acting on the call of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) for a six-hour nationwide 'rail roko' protest, all railway tracks in Punjab and Haryana were blocked on Monday by farmers, thus affecting the rail services.
