UIDAI makes online document update in Aadhaar free for next 3 months

The decision was taken as part of Digital India initiative, and residents urged to get the benefit of free document update facility on myAadhaar portal. The free service is available for the next three months, i.e., March 15 to June 14, but only on myAadhaar portal and will continue to attract a fee of Rs 50 at physical Aadhaar centres, as in the case earlier.
Google to integrate Digilocker in Files app to access official documents in India

At the annual Google for India event, Google announced its partnership with the National eGovernance Division (NeGD), established by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to roll out the DigiLocker integration within the Files app. DigiLocker is a key initiative under Digital India, which offers a secure cloud-based platform for the storage, sharing and verification of documents and certificates.
Musk slams PayPal's policy to fine users over spreading misinformation

The company claimed the policy update had gone out "in error", as Musk and former PayPal president David Marcus criticised the policy on social media. "An acceptable use policy (AUP) notice recently went out in error that included incorrect information. PayPal is not fining people for misinformation and this language was never intended to be inserted in our policy," the financial services company said in a statement.

Led by Aadhaar card details, the app has issued around 4.94 billion documents, so far, and currently has 101.1 million registered users. The platform that was launched under the Digital India initiative, initiated by the Indian government to digitally empower society and the knowledge economy, targets the idea of paperless governance.
