Mizos losing crops, pullback from lands on Assam border

Mizoram Health and Family Welfare Minister Minister on Tuesday said in Aizawl that the hilly state has been facing acute crisis of vital medicines and urged the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to intervene at the earliest to prevent any health crisis that may soon engulf Mizoram and which would be beyond the control of anybody.
Mizoram blames Assam for continuing economic blockade

"All transporters in Guwahati operating in Mizoram have been instructed to stop transporting any goods into Mizoram... this has resulted in a complete halt of goods including essential medical supplies coming into Mizoram," Dr R. Border clash: Mizoram to 'relook' FIR against Assam CM

Mizoram Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo said in Aizawl that following the advice of Chief Minister Zoramthanga, the administration would "relook" the FIR registered against the Assam Chief Minister. He said that Zoramthanga did not approve of the inclusion of Sarma's name in the FIR, adding that he too was not properly aware of Sarma's name being included in the FIR before it was lodged.

Tension in Assam-Mizoram border, security forces on alert

Breakthrough in Assam-Nagaland border dispute: Two states start withdrawing forces

Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua and his Nagaland counterpart J. Alam in the presence of Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton signed a pact in Dimapur to withdraw their respective forces from the two disputed locations. Soon after the signing of the agreement, withdrawal of forces was started by both Assam and Nagaland. The two northeastern states share a 512.1 km inter-state border.
Border tension: Assam asks residents not to visit Mizoram

The unprecedented travel advisory, issued by Commissioner and Secretary, Home and Political, M.S. Manivannan said that given the critical prevailing situation, the people of Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as any threat to their personal safety cannot be accepted. "People of Assam, staying in Mizoram due to work related compulsion, should exercise utmost caution," it said.
