CBSE Class XII board exams cancelled for this year

The decision was taken after a key meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Cabinet ministers and the concerned officials. It was decided that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will take steps to compile the results of Class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner, the PMO said.
CBSE's 'dost for life' app to counsel students from class 9 to 12

With the help of the app, students and parents will be able to get answers to their questions on education, health and social topics. This mobile counselling app of the CBSE is named 'dost for life'. According to the CBSE, the app is to be used to improve students' psycho-social wellness. From Monday, this app will be fully available for students.
After CBSE, now JEE exams postponed due to Covid surge

According to the Education Ministry, the students will be informed about the next date of examinations 15 days in advance. On the entrance test, Nishank said, "JEE (Main) 2021 April session date will be announced later. It will be announced at least 15 days before the exam and all students will be informed about it."

The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here amid demand from students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders to cancel it. The CBSE Board exams were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 7 and the results were to be announced by July 15.

Taking cognisance of various political leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, raising voice to postpone board exams amid a spike in Covid cases, it is learnt that the Prime Minister will hold a virtual meeting with Pokhriyal, Education Secretary, CBSE officials and other senior officials concerned.
