Huawei launches Harmony OS 3 to take on Google Android

According to the South China Morning Post, the company's third-generation operating system is designed to provide a more seamless experience across devices, including smartphones, tablets, printers, cars and smart home devices such as televisions. The company said that HarmonyOS 3 will be available to more devices starting in September.
Huawei's sub-brand Honor pulls out India team amid probes, raids

According to South China Morning Post, the company's business in India will remain in operation, managed by local partners, but the brand will adopt a "very safe approach."Honor CEO Zhao Ming told state-run newspaper Securities Times that, Honor formed the India team a few years ago but chose to leave for "obvious reasons".The development came as Indian authorities like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have conducted raids and investigations of major Chinese smartphone players like Vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi.

The Shenzhen-based telecom giant announced to launch its updated alternative to Google Android OS on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The company did not elaborate on the features of the new system, reports South China Morning Post. Huawei released its HarmonyOS 2 for variety of products in September 2020.
Huawei CEO India approaches Delhi High Court challenging LOC against him

The share of US components in Honor's latest 5G smartphone X30 has soared to 39 per cent, from just 10 per cent for the 30S model released in 2020 which was manufactured by Huawei, reports Nikkei Asia. It also means that China is struggling to develop next-generation electronics technologies for smartphones on its own.

The company teased the handset earlier this month with a photoshoot focused on the P50 Pocket Premium Edition that appeared in Harper's Bazaar China. This version of the device was created with Dutch designer Iris van Herpen.
