Nifty hits new high, Sensex up 260 points

Around 10.30 a.m., Nifty was trading at 17,456.05, higher by 76.05 points or 0.44 per cent from its previous close of 17,380 points. The BSE Sensex was trading at 58,514.12, higher by 267.03 points or 0.46 per cent from its previous close of 58,247.09.
Nifty hits record high, Sensex up 200 points

The Indian stock market opened on a positive note on Tuesday with the Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) touching a record high. Nifty hit a fresh high of 17,438.55 points. Healthy buying was witnessed in auto and banking shares.
Bullish trends: Lighter inflationary pressure to unleash equity bulls

The healthy macros, as denoted by the rise in Index of Industrial Production (IIP) will attract foreign capital to the equity markets on the prospects of faster economic growth. Besides, expected easing of retail as well as wholesale inflation points are likely to boost buying sentiments. However, global worries such as prospects of US Fed withdrawing stimulus, spread of Delta variant, slowing global growth and China's regulatory tightening might cap gains.
FPIs net investment of Rs 7,575 cr in September so far

This week, both the key Indian equity indices scaled new highs. The BSE Sensex, on Tuesday touched a record intra-day high of 58,553.07 points and the Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange hit its all-time high of 17,436.50 points. The total net investment last year stood at Rs 16,556 crore. The inflow of FPIs continues amid a recovery in the economy and improving macroeconomic numbers.
UCO Bank shares surge 10% as RBI lifts PCA restrictions

Around 12.40 p.m., its shares on the BSE were trading at Rs 14.17 per share, higher by 10.62 percent from its previous close. Earlier it touched an intraday high of Rs 14.85 per share. On Wednesday, RBI said that it has taken UCO Bank out from the PCA framework and lifted the restrictions.
Large cap stocks gain flavour, outperform mid/small caps in August

It was the first time this year that large cap stocks outperformed both mid and small cap scrips, which were largely dominating the bull run amid the pandemic. Data from Motilal Oswal Financial Services showed that 40 out of the 50 Nifty companies posted gains in August 2021. The data said that Bajaj twins -- Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv -- outperformed during the month, while defencive stocks made a comeback.
Sensex slips over 200 points, banking stocks fall

Heavy selling pressure was witnessed in banking, finance and oil and gas stocks. Investors also took to profit booking post the recent bull run in the market, analysts said. Around 10.10 a.m., Sensex was trading at 58,053.53, lower by 243.38 points or 0.42 per cent from its previous close of 58,296.91. It opened at 58,418.69 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 58,459.70 and a low of 58,022.67 points.
Sensex up 100 points ahead of weekly F&O expiry

Healthy buying was witnessed in FMCG and capital goods stocks, while IT and auto stocks were under pressure. Around 10.35 a.m., Sensex was trading at 57,443.30, higher by 105.09 pints or 0.18 per cent from its previous close of 57,338.21. It opened at 57,423.65 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 57,512.08 and a low of 57,287.79 points.
Equity market in green after opening flat

The market rose after a flat opening on the back of gains in the index-heavyweight Reliance Industries. At around 10.05 a.m., Sensex was trading at 56,065.82, higher by 121.61 points or 0.22 per cent from its previous close of 55,944.21 points. It opened at 55,988.41 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 56,068.73 points or a low of 55,854.07 points. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 16,673.55, higher by 38.90 points or 0.23 per cent from its previous close.
Sensex scales new high; IT, oil & gas stocks rise

The Sensex has touched an all-time high of 56,188.49 points. Healthy buying was witnessed in IT and oil and gas stocks. Around 10.05 a.m., Sensex was trading at 56,128.53, higher by 169.55 points or 0.30 per cent from its previous close of 55,958.98. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 16,683.80, higher by 59.20 points or 0.36 per cent from its previous close.
