The buzz grew stronger when BJP's Krishnanagar North MLA and national vice-president Mukul Roy decided to stay away from the first meeting of the BJP's legislative body in the Assembly on Friday, where it was decided that the party would boycott the Assembly proceedings until post-poll violence stops completely in the state.
Mamata Banerjee accuses Election Commission of directly helping BJP

"I can challenge that had the Election Commission not helped them (BJP) directly, they would not have won even 30 seats. In this election, rigging took place in some places under the watch of the poll panel. Union Minster's convoy attacked in West Midnapore

The incident took place when Muraleedharan accompanied by BJP state leader Rahul Sinha was going to Ghatal in East Midnapore to meet some of the BJP supporters who were injured in the attack allegedly by the TMC goons. When his convoy was at Panchkhuri that falls under West Midnapore, suddenly there was brick batting on his vehicle.

Left leads in Kerala as UDF trails, BJP moves in 2 seats

In the 140-member Kerala Assembly, according to the latest reports the Left leads in 80 constituencies while the Congress-led UDF is ahead in 58 and the BJP in two seats. All the exit polls had predicted a clear victory for the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Left with a minimum of 75 seats and a maximum of 120 seats.

According to the Election Commission's initial trends of the results, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 27 seats while its ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on six seats and United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) on six. The Congress has established initial leads only on five seats while its partners Bodoland Peoples Front on two seats and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on one seat.
Congress trounces BJP in 10 local body polls in Karnataka

The opposition Congress in Karnataka has trounced the ruling BJP by winning 120 out of the 263 wards in 10 local bodies across eight districts that went to the polls on April 27. Surprisingly, even the Janata Dal (S) performed better than the BJP by winning 66 seats as against the saffron party's 57 seats.
BJP confident of forming govt in Bengal by winning 200+ seats

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya, the West Bengal co-in charge, told IANS: "The BJP is going to win more than 200 seats regardless of whatever the figures of the exit polls suggest. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, nobody said that the BJP may win 18 seats. However, the party stunned everyone. Let's wait for the results on May 2... everything will become clear."
BJP to grab Trinamool, Left strongholds in Bengal

Out of the 79 important constituencies, the Trinamool is likely to win 40 seats, while the BJP is projected to win 37, and one each would go to the Congress and the Left, as per the exit poll. Even though the Trinamool is leading, there would be a close contest between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP's Suvendu Adhikari, her former close aide, in Nandigram.
