Shehbaz orders foolproof security for Imran

The Prime Minister issued the directives after the Lahore administration raised concerns over Khan's security and asked the organisers to install a bulletproof shield for him. Khan, who is all set to address his first rally in Lahore after being ousted on April 10, received two security alerts ahead of the event, The News reported.

"The former Prime Minister is panicking because I have been elected as the representative. I will work on a pace I am used to," Sharif said while addressing the inauguration ceremony here. "You [Imran Khan] may be panicked due to my speed of work, but the people have stopped panicking," he said.

China reports human infection of H10N3 avian influenza

The patient, a 41-year-old man in Zhenjiang city, developed fever and other symptoms on April 23 and was hospitalised on April 28, Xinhua news agency quoted the NHC as saying. He is now in stable condition and has broadly met the standards for discharge, the Commission noted. All close contacts of the patient in Jiangsu have been placed under medical observation and emergency monitoring has been initiated, said the NHC, adding that nothing abnormal has been detected.
Bird Flu Outbreak: Sweden to cull 1.3 million chickens after avian influenza hits farm

An extensive spread of the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus H5N8 and H5N5 was found at the farm located in Monsteras municipality. A large flock of chickens has been affected and the infection has spread further in the facility, which now leads to 1.3 million poultry having to be killed and destroyed.
