DGCA recommends measures for mental health promotion of flight crew, ATCOs

Flight AAI106, a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, made an emergency landing in the Swedish capital on Wednesday, following which a large number of fire engines were stationed at the airport. Officials said that all the people on board the aircraft are safe. A senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official said that during the ground inspection, oil was seen coming out from the drain mast of engine two and further inspection is in progress.

Also, in January 2023, a total of 418 passenger-related complaints were received by scheduled domestic airlines. The number of complaints per 10,000 passengers carried for the month of January 2023 has been around 0.33. As per the latest data of January by the aviation regulator DGCA, Indigo carried 68.47 lakh air passengers during the month of January, while Air India and Vistara carried 11.55 lakh and 11.05 lakh air passengers, respectively.

Explaining further, the ministry said on Twitter, "Android users are requested to update to version 2.0.1 which takes care of the app's cache issues. Apple iOS App users are also requested update to version 2.0.2 which is now available on the App Store. Once you scan/upload the boarding pass, a pop-up window allows you to directly share the boarding pass to the airport."

"Boeing employees trained Tata Consulting Services employees on that initial set of outsourced work, which TCS is scheduled to take over in the coming week," the report mentioned.

63 passengers placed in 'No Fly List' since 2022

Minister of State for Civil Aviation, V.K. Singh in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Monday said: "In last one year, a total of 63 passengers have been placed in the "No Fly List" for such period, as recommended by the airline's Internal Committee, constituted in accordance with Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR), Section 3 -- Air Transport, Series M, and Part VI titled "Handling of unruly/disruptive passengers."
