AFC U-17 Asian Cup: Thokchom's dazzling left-footer helps India hold Vietnam 1-1
Long Vu had put Vietnam in the lead towards the end of the first half, but India left-back Thokchom equalised in the 69th minute, to salvage a point for India. India's next two opponents in the group are Uzbekistan and Japan. The other match in the group between Japan and Uzbekistan too ended in a 1-1 draw.
AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers: India women beat Myanmar 2-1 to qualify for Round 2
After Sulanjana and Pooja put India in a 2-0 lead by the 33rd minute, Myanmar threatened to make a comeback when Ya Min Phyu reduced the margin for them in the 75th minute. The last 15 minutes turned out to be a tense affair as Myanmar pressed hard for the equaliser, but the Indian defence stood tall to thwart the rival attackers.
India U-17 go down 0-2 against Leganes U-18 on Spain tour
The India U-17 team is currently on a preparatory tour to Spain ahead of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, in Thailand which is going to be held in June-July this year. They had earlier played a training game against Atletico de Madrid U-17s, which the Colts won 4-1, last week.
